Landing Page Design: 9 Elements of a High-Converting Page
OCTOBER 6, 2024 | BY SMARTWEBIX TEAM | WEB DESIGNUnlike a home page, a landing page focuses on a single goal. Every element should support that goal and nothing else.
The nine elements
- A clear headline: say what you offer and who it is for in one line.
- A supporting subheading: add the main benefit or how it works.
- One primary call to action: a specific button such as “Get my quote”, repeated where it makes sense.
- Benefits over features: explain what changes for the customer.
- Social proof: real testimonials, client logos, ratings or case studies.
- Relevant visuals: images or short video that show the product or result.
- A short form: ask only for what you truly need.
- Trust signals: guarantees, security badges, contact details and privacy reassurance.
- Fast, mobile-friendly design: most visitors will arrive on a phone.
Remove distractions
Consider removing the full navigation menu so visitors are not tempted to wander off. Keep the message consistent with the ad or link that brought them.
Test and improve
Change one element at a time, such as the headline or button text, and compare results over enough visits to be meaningful. Small improvements compound quickly.
